Mounting Blocks

Picture
This stair block works for even the tallest horse (like our 17.3 Hanoverian).  It's 30 inches tall.

Made from 2 ready-made 3-step stair stringers ($11 each), but turned upside-down to be steeper and taller.

Has non-skid strips on each step.

The little feet add stability to avoid tipping.

Solid, but portable.

Also good for your friends or the trainer to sit on!

Monster Mounting Block

Picture
Even bigger and taller - 37 inches tall!  That's big enough for 18.2 draft horses as well as little 17.3 warmbloods.
There's a rubber mat screwed to the top for boot-wiping.

This is really 2 constructed parts - steps and "table".  The wide (10 inch) ledger/header board connects the 2.
And in fact can be disassembled - separating the steps from the "table" for transport by unscrewing 6 screws.

I used these heavy structural wood screws for the attachment:

They cost more but are strong and easy to use.

The stair attachment with 3 vertical screws is inset from the platform leg attachment. These are screwed into the header board from opposite sides.

Not as portable but I want to add wheels like this concept:
