Stone wall and standards from free pallets.

Simple brush box with holes in bottom (use right-side-up or up-side-down like this). Home made jump cups. Duct tape stripes (see tape on top of each home-made standard :-) It has actually lasted in the weather many months so far.

In the beginning.....
All we started with was an old pole.  Needs paint, but serviceable.

Standards:  

Christmas Tree Stands from a thrift store.  About $4 each.

2 leftover 4x4 pieces from Home Depot scrap bin:  51 cents each.

Lattice:  Free scrap from Home Depot.

Ground lines:  8 ft. landscape timbers, pre-treated cherry-tone.  $4 at Lowe's (but I've seen them on sale for $1.97!
Notice the home made jump cup on the near side!  They're almost free to make and work great!
