Baling twine to lift end of pole into higher jump cup. Attached to small nail at the top with a loop so you can reach it from astride your horse.
Sometimes you're doing a jumping exercise and you just don't want to get off every time you want the jump raised. But no one is around to jump crew for you.
So I tied good ole baling twine around the pole end. Since I have so many jump cups now I have several pre-set. Then I tie the end of the twine to the top of the standard so I can reach it when riding.
If my horse cooperates, I can raise (or lower) the poles onto the pre-set cups while staying in the saddle!
(NOTE! I don't jump if I'm alone. But if the other folks are busy with their own business I am self-sufficient!)
